Killer Guitar
The 1970's Hagstrom Viking's are killer guitars. Swedish quality easily meets and/or exceeds USA quality. These humbuckers through any tube amp just rock. The scale length of 23 3/4 make sthing play like absolute butter. I doubt there is a better "fretless wonder". Really, the playability is just incredible.

Great 6 String Guitar Mute
Finally somebody got this thing right. This is as close to the George Van Epps string mute as we will get without having to pay $200-$300 for a custom build. Metal construction with several precise adjustments. Don't let the $20 price tag make you think it is "cheap"...it isn't by a long shot. And to think the elastic "Fretwraps" is only $5 less-this is a no-brainer. The Michael Batio "Chromcast" is now my mute of choice. Killer product.

The definitive Danny G story.
As a big fan of Danny, the book tied certain events together, including his untimely death. The book is honest and deliberate in its assessment of Danny. Despite unprecedented talent, Danny wasn't perfect. For example, Danny's wife was supported the household, while Danny promised "he would make it" someday-yet he didn't work at his career as hard as he should have. Yeah, Danny was in some ways lazy.
Danny was not suited for solo stardom, he really need to be part of a team to make it (think Pete Anderson & Dwight Yoakum). Danny could be hard to work with, temperamental, moody, bitter, and a homebody. You can't get anywhere if you have no interest in leaving the house. By the time of Danny's electkra releases he had played and mastered everything in music-there was nothing left to get him excited. RIP Big Man, it is going to be a long, long time before we see another monster talent like you.
