Raymarine A12005 ST2000 Plus Tiller Pilot with Autotack Feature

It will do more than you think (or even more than it should be able too)

I have used the 2000 on my 25 foot sailboat sailing offshore for years (including a sail to Hawaii). It has worked flawlessly when hooked directly to my tiller, and equally well when it was linked to my self steering vane (saves power) when motoring. I got involved in a project to bring the famous race boat Ragtime down from the Bay Area to Long Beach for an extensive refit. She was just a shell with no rig and an engine we put in for the trip. Yes, you see it coming, the 2000 steered that 65 ft, 20,000 lb boat all the way down, even when it was blowing 35. Cannot recommend it enough.
