Altura Flash In the field
3 of 3 found this helpful I have been using this flash for my work with Louisiana Biker Magazine.
I have mostly been using it as a fill flash, using the wireless trigger. I could not be happier with this. It is very easy to adjust the output of this flash to control the fill without affecting the overall exposure of the image. The included accessories all work great, I could not be happier. The slave modes trigger well, but I prefer the wireless trigger.
Even shooting several shots in a row, the flash fired every time. I was running about mid-power, but recycle time was fast. I can't say how fast on full power, but I never found myself waiting on the flash to be ready.
I have used this flash hard, and the first set of batteries is still going strong, much longer life than I would have expected. I really have no complaints, for the price I expect to buy a couple more.
We used this flash for the cover shoot of our February 2016 issue.
