The filter works as it should - no problem fitting the lens and filter threads. Just make sure you use the palm of your hand to tighten the ring, to ensure you don't over-tighten it.

Interior Surface More Reflective than OEM

The hood fits well, and is exactly the same dimensions as the OEM lens hood. Seems to be sturdy. But the inside is far more reflective than the OEM hood, which somewhat defeats the purpose of the lens hood - to eliminate stray light.

Outstanding image quality

Outstanding results on my 105mm 2.5. Even better image quality than I expected. Allows close focusing and substantially greater image magnifcation, increasing the lens' versatility. One caveat: if you aren't familiar with macro or close up photography, recognize that your depth of field will be narrow, and you will need to use a small aperture especially if shooting hand held.
