Solid build but difficult to ground
First , the positives:
1) This is a stock Fender part for not a lot of cash. It fits perfectly and it's inexpensive.
2) The claw is solid and should hold up well. The screws are fat for good retention in the body and they are quite long for lots of adjustability.
Next, the negatives:
1) The springs are not "vintage" y any means. They are the same rock hard springs found in modern Mexican and American Strats. Nothing special. They make plenty of that annoying "sproing" noise when playing the guitar.
2) The biggest complaint is that it is VERY difficult to ground. The plating is quote thick - I had to use a Dremel tool to scrape off enough to give the solder a good surface to stick to. Also, there is no indentation like you usually find on trem claws, meaning you can't hook the ground wire in place for soldering. Unless you have pro equipment and ninja wiring skills, good luck getting a solid ground connection.
In conclusion; it is a sturdy part that fits and doesn't cost a lot. Unless you have great soldering
equipment and skills, I recommend spending a few bucks more for an aftermarket part with the ground wire pre-installed.

Works great on my Fender Bass
I have always liked the convenience of headstock tuners, but hated the clunky look of the clip-ons. I really like this one because it hides behind the headstock. The audience can't see it at all. It literally took less than a minute to install, and it works great on my Fender Jazz Bass!
My only complaint is that the buttons are very small. Good luck pressing the right one on a dark stage! I would like it better with fewer features and just one, easy-to-find button.
