Though not a panacea, these can help.

I find myself needing these more and more as I grow older. They're not a substitute for eating better, but when I don't, these do generally make it possible for me to sleep without my stomach trying to eat itself. They're certainly not a license to eat whatever, and woe to me when I go so over the top that even these don't stop the attack! But they're good to have around for those moments of shame when you think to yourself, "I'm really going to regret that later."
