Well-performing device, but the instructions are woeful.

As usual with many modern devices, the included 'instructions' are virtually useless. Four small pages of minimal information do not constitute an adequate user guide. What is the Chromecast supposed to do? How are its functions accessed? The Google Home App doesn't explain this either. Where are the details of how to 'cast' music/videos to your TV? How do you return to normal TV mode? Being a fairly savvy tech guy, I managed to answer all these questions by myself. Google should not assume people are upgrading from the previous Chromecast or are an AV expert.

A Premium Product at a Premium Price

This is definitely the best version of the Apple Pencil so far. Having a flat edge means it doesn't roll off your desk and it sticks very strongly to the iPad thanks to the internal magnets. Contactless charging is much more convenient than having to remember to plug it in. The responsiveness of the pencil is extremely high. The iPad responds even if the tip is about a centimetre away from the surface! Writing is easy and with no noticeable lag. I haven't tried the pressure-sensitivity feature, but I am sure artists will find this very valuable.

Effective and Long-running

The Shark Stratos has powerful suction for a cordless vacuum, and includes several convenience features, such as a hinged 'wand' to get under furniture easily and two batteries to provide twice the running time (2 hours). Another useful feature is the automatic dirt sensing which increases the suction according to how much dust is detected. I don't have masses of pet hair to test it with, but after a number of runs, the rollers are still free of fibres and clogging. The system is bagless which means you don't have to worry about spares (the filters can be taken out for cleaning). My only criticisms are that the dirt receptacle is quite small, requiring frequent emptying ( a problem with most stick vacuums) and the weight of the complete unit when the motorised floor tool is attached.
