For Danzig fans who've come to expect great music, this doesn't dissappoint
This year I decided to buy every single Danzig CD. Circle of Snakes proved to be the most elusive. After a couple of months hunting for a copy, I found one being sold out of England. It was worth the wait. Having only ever heard one of the songs from the album and knowing the first 4 albums word for word and note for note, I didn't quite know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to hear a great Danzig record worthy of his impressive back catalog of material. Circle of Snakes gives the fans a taste of the first 3 albums' bluesy evil influences and leaves behind the Danzig 5: Blackacidevil and Danzig 6:66 Satan's Child infusion of industrial electronic music (which were still great records by the way). The standout for the album would have to be the introduction of Tommy Victor's guitar work. Glenn's voice sounds better than it did on Danzig 5 and 6, so it's a nice continuation of Danzig 777: I Luciferi and on occasion sounds a bit like it did on some Samhain tracks. Though it doesn't have the same number of classic Danzig tracks like the first 3 albums, this one does offer some great songs; Skincarver, Skull Forest, Black Angel,White Angel (perhaps the strongest on the record), My Darkness, and Hellmask (with a riff right off of the first album and double kick drumming by Bevan Davis, make this a thrash metal track). When we were dead sounds like it would fit nicely on Danzig 2: Lucifuge. If you love the first 4 albums, you need to get this to complete the 6 year gap to Deth Red Sabaoth. Long live Evil Elvis!

johnny cash reaction action figure the man in black super 7

    CASH in hand
Nice to see the Man in Black come around. The likeness (as far as ReAction figures go) is decent. Would have been nice if he had black hair instead of medium brown, which looked off. However, a little paint, or a good Sharpee can fix that. The guitar is a nice touch, but the neck doesn't stay in his left 'fret' hand, so if displayed, you have to do some work to get it to stay. That, and the strap is rather loose making the guitar slip often. With all of that said, having a Johnny Cash next to my ReAction Run-DMC and Eddie (Iron Maiden) is worth what ever flaws Super7 provides.

TOTS H 2 Michael Myers: kind of expensive for a figure with major flaws
The head sculpt is accurate, both of them. The color is way too dark though. It's so grey that it isn't movie accurate. The mask should be off white and yellowed with brown dirt spots and smudging. The hair should be lighter than the 78 as well. The real movie mask was not kept well and in a room with a chain smoker for 2 years, so it affected the look of it from the first to second film. They made it too dark. Then there's the coveralls...sigh. They suck. They are way to baggy (not nearly as good a fit as the TOTS 78' figure) and are the wrong color (way to grey/green, not blue/green enough). The hands look good, the weapons are great and look pretty accurate. Same with the boots, they look fine. The pumpkin is okay, if you open just a hair too much, a small piece detaches easily, so be careful. For the price, TOTS retail is $200, it's seems not worth it. I've done a repaint of the head and are modifying the coveralls to get it to be more movie accurate. Wait for it to get cheaper as you'll be modifying much of it. TOTS has some work to do; they're asking HOTTOYS prices for old school Sideshow figure quality. Not sure why the quality slipped so much from the 78' Michael to the 81'. I bought the 6 (Curse of Michael Myers too, better accuracy, but mask color...again TOO GREY!)
