All Balls 28-1143 Swing Arm Bearing Kit
    Jan 14, 2021
    Perfect fit for 1981 IT250
My 1981 Yamaha IT250 still had the factory bearings and bushing - rusted and frozen in place. Getting those out was a long process. Make sure you have tools to press them out, that swingarm is not going to stand up to the force of hammering them out. Once the old parts were removed and the swingarm was cleaned up, the installation of the All-Balls kit was very straightforward. The parts in the 28-1143 kit were an exact match (in fact, if you look up the part numbers on yamahaparts website you will see the 1981 IT250 and 1981 IT465 are the same). The bushings and bearings pressed in easily. I used a threaded rod and a few different sizes of washers and old metric sockets to get a straight fit for pressing. Lots of grease is also essential; I used moly axle grease. Make sure to check how far you want to press the bearings in. The bearings in the All-balls Kit are slightly longer than the stock bearings, so they need to go into the swing arm further in order to allow proper seating of the grease seals The seals fit perfectly. Exactly the same size as the stock seals and a good tight fit. Make sure to grease those, too - before you push in the swingarm bolt The one thing that is very different from stock is the thrust plates. The stock unit had roller-style needle bearings. In the All-Balls kit they use a flat thrust washer with some kind of synthetic coating. I followed the instructions included in the kit to assemble that. Upon fully reassembling the bike, the suspension feels smooth with good travel. So I guess these washers work as well as the roller bearings, but time will tell. Note to the seller, you should update the compatible vehicles to include the 1981 IT250. This is definitely the right part for that job

    Says Honda, fits Suzuki
Through a lot of cross-reference searching, I found out this will fit a 2012 Suzuki SX4 hatchback. Exact match for the OEM part
