A Great CD player for the price!
1 of 1 found this helpful I have been experimenting/ testing several different CD players lately. It is obvious they all have their own sound. “M” brand sounds great, like it adds a silky smoothness to the music, but it clearly takes something off of the high end. This unit is more natural and clean. I would not say it over-hypes, but you are going to hear the cymbals and guitar-string/ finger noise nuances well. I’ve come to the conclusion that it such a subjective area, that it really just boils down to what you tend to like: if you like that “warmer” sound, (which, to me = Muddy), then this is prob not the player for you. If you like things open, clean, and pristine, then get this unit. You will not be disappointed. Simple, clean layout, no extra that you don’t need. Btw. I did not try out the USB stick function. Why would I have spent 2k on TEAC amp and speakers, and buying a single drawer CD player like I did when I was a teenager, to listen to MP3’s???? I have a smartphone for that! Happy Listening; you will like this player!
