I loved listening to this audio book to the original versions of these classic tales.

Good for what it is

I always wanted the whole set. I had a few DVDs from this collection but only recently bought the whole thing as a complete set. Two Noble Kingsmen is not in the collection :(. The films are dated, classic 1980s look and feel (A bit dry and unimaginative). I wish The BBC would do them all again in big budget motion picture quality like they did fore the history plays in the TV series The Hollow Crown and The War of The Roses (Awesome!). I am particularly interested in the plays that are not done often or have not yet been done as a modern motion picture adaptation. Yet I am pleased to see a number of them recently have been made into movies Titus, Coriolanus, Cymbeline, Tempest, Merchant of Venice, and so on, yet at least I have this collection to go to to view The Winters Tale, Pericles, Measure for Measure and all the others which have not yet been adapted for the big screen. Still hopeful more big budget Shakespeare films will be made as time progresses. Huge fan of Shakespeare flicks!
