Not as good as the original

Having sweat to the oldies of the Oldies 1 video and "Party off the Pounds," I thought spicing things up with one I hadn't done before would be good. I enjoy Richard Simmons' enthusiasm and loving care, so this seemed like it would be the ticket. After trying to work out to it several times, I have had trouble getting the routines down...they aren't as repetitive and as easy to pick up as the others. Also, after working out to Oldies 1, with the live band being a major "character" in the video, I was disappointed that Oldies 4's band is never seen close up, and the music plays 2nd to Richard's voice. In Oldies 1, it's the other way around. The band in Oldies 1 interacts with Richard and the other people working out, which makes it feel like live music at a dance. Oldies 4 falls flat on that account. Richard Simmons is a great work out leader, and I'll get more of his videos, even if I was a bit disappointed in this one. I'll still keep on trying to get the routine, even if it's counterintuitive.

Witty Reference Guide

I bought this book, loved it, and have loaned it to everyone I know who either loathes or loves squirrels. An enjoyable read, with anecdotal experiences that anyone who has tangled with a squirrel can relate to. After loaning it to others, I have had some ask where they can get their own copy.
