Historically accurate
Great movie! Tells the story of Pearl Harbor from both points of view. All other US-made movies only present the American side.

Engaging Christian movie with good dialogue.
Good Christian movie, in a comforting setting. A time period that almost directly relates to me. They introduced good plot twists. The only real CON I had was the screen writer threw in a way-too-obvious copy scene from the Dead Poet Society, using a graveyard instead. Outside of that, I enjoyed the movie.

Inspirational story, but had far too much unnecessary cursing.
Although I liked the movie overall, the excessive cursing really lost me. I was expecting more of a faith-based movie. Yes, I got that...sort of. The Stu character had an inspiring story of dealing with a severe disease and finding his higher purpose despite that, and yes, his parents reconciled with each other in the end. Happy, feel-good stuff. Once again, at least 75% of the cursing and 100% of the blasphemy (3rd Commandment) should have been omitted, despite being so-called consistent to the characters. Otherwise I would have given it a higher rating. The cursing was like putting rotten tomatoes on a very good sandwich, or anchovies on a chocolate sundae.
