Nice product. Solid construction.

I wouldn't recommend it as a primary fire starter. It requires very dry material and multiple try's to get results. If in very cold conditions,could be very difficult. Must keep extra rubber o-rings as well. Lube for rings. I will keep it as a backup for sure. Ferro and knife is better primary source. Quality product construction. Will last.

Love it. One of the brighter strobes out there.

Army issue. Really bright. Infra red lense cover blocks from human eye makes it visible at night by night vision or camera setup for it. 2 double a batteries. A must if a hiker. Can be seen from miles away at night without the infrared cover on it. Could be a life saver for sure. Won't go out without it. Waterproof design. Permanently attach to top of pack. Turn it on at night and if any one is looking they will find you. Day time direct view is really bright too. Pricey but not if it saves your life.
