Gag me with a spoon
2 of 10 found this helpful I bought this product because it is supposed to be an old standby for cleaning and maintaining firearms. I'm sure it works well enough in that regard. But the deal breaker for me is the SMELL! It's unlike anything I've every smelled in my life. It's beyond description. What I can report is that (for me) it was INSTANTLY revolting and nauseating. I've worked with a lot of cleaners and solvents over the years and NEVER had any notable reaction to any of them, until encountering Ballistol! Buyer beware!

Great Rugged HT
I own many Yeasu HT's in the "VX series. I have a VX2r, VX3r, VX5r Two VX6rs & the VX 7r. There's something VERY solid and rugged about this model that puts it above the others. It offers a TRUE dual VFO with a main and sub that can been displayed at the same time. LOTS of customization options in the extensive menus. Menus are laid out a bit different than previous VX models, but it's not that hard to familiarize yourself with them. The VX6r is also submersible, but this VX 7r really has the feel of a rig that can take a beating. It's definitely a keeper!!!
