Produces the best water
1 of 1 found this helpful I had to have a family member who is familiar with Berkey water filters set this up for me. the filters have to be flushed out under the faucet first and that's not a totally easy task. Don't avoid this step. Even my family member thought he could put the black filters in without flushing them first but it didn't work. But we learned something in the process. Flush the filters first! Otherwise, the Berkey isn't that difficult to put together; yet I did need some help because I had never done it. Now that I have my filter, it was TOTALLY WORTH the price. It filters out fluoride, aresenic, metals, clorine, etc, and the water tastes great. I couldn't drink the faucet water at my location but now I can thanks to Berkey. It's a wonderful device and I probably won't have to change the filters for a year.
