Very reliable for email use and contact list. Earlier used same model issued by employer for about 5 years - happy user! What I liked best is the calendar/schedule and address book sync with Windows PCs - not just emails!
Unlike newer Blackberry models, this one 8700g has the old clumpsy email editor - hard to go back and correct draft email text lines without erasing whole words (a trick does exist to go around that - use spaces in a blank line to position the cursor - the use track wheel up or down.
Also only black-and-white and character-mode (no graphics) display. Web browser is also clumpsy (but that is a generic RIM Blackberry design issue).
Battery hog too - specially in auto sync mode.
It makes it all up in STURDYNESS and RELIABILITY.
Also I could use Google map on this (accurate where-am-I feature).
Another big plus: Unlike desktop PCs or other phones - I never lost any half-way finished draft email text on this model no matter if connections dropped or battery was low.

Nokia 2760 model
Basic and sturdy model - BIG PLUS: very easy to use.
I bought it for a 10yr old ... He is happy.
But do not think you are buying a smart phone.
Also basic camera. Basic texting.
Irritating key lock / unlock (sometimes forces you to try unlock repeatedly before you win over the "sleepy" phone)
Good battery though.
Also (for its price), reasonably good fit-and-finish.
