Do NOT look into these lights! They are extremely bright, use caution, wear welding goggles if you must.
These LEDs require substantial heat sinks or they will overheat (and fail like any high powered semiconductor device). Excellent quality construction package and fairly easy to attach to a heat sink. Very pleasing "white" light spectrum will have many applications such as close up illumination of machine tools, sewing machines, reading lamps, as well as off-grid (12VDC) lighting systems. Use a diffuser lens and good directional control to keep direct view of light out of users eyes. Continuous operation will require active cooling (fan) or large mass of finned aluminum sink and unrestricted air flow.
