Blues paragon
Robert Johnson is like a whole genre of his own (working within the macro genre of the Blues). Such a physical, emotional and spiritual master of the guitar and voice. Also, such an inexhaustibly intriguing and fascinating story: did he really trade his soul to the devil down at the crossroads in exchange for musical mastery? If that was the case, then the devil was also some kind of saint. I mean that "the devil's music (the Blues)"" is a beautiful category of human experience, transformational in it's cathartic effects. Hail thee Robert Johnson!!!
