1 of 2 our 2 Midland Walkie Talkies stopped charging

1 of 2 our 2 Midland Walkie Talkies stopped charging and there is not a way to open it up to change out a rechargeable battery. We use the walkie talkies just ONCE per year. We have this exact set, but the 3rd time we took them out to charge, one of the set no longer charges. We are looking for a replacement for the one that stopped working. It would be nice to have a backup since the other one went bad so quickly.
