CASIO VINTAGE A1000M-1BEF #ICONIC Premium Model **Only Available in Europe**
    Dec 21, 2021
    Almost there Casio!
While usually described as a metal version of the A158, this watch is more reminds me of a re-re-issue of the Casiotron. I am not sure why Casio did not use the Casiotron name on these watches. With a metal case, mineral crystal, and milanese watch band, it is much of what I had wanted Casio to release in their classic watch line. However, there are a few things that could stand to be improved. I do not like any of Casio's negative displays, an this one is particularly bad; only being legible in direct light or with the illumination on. This can be changed by swapping out the movement with a model A1000d or A700 Casio, but this adds expense to the purchase. I also wish that Casio would use a sapphire crystal, although I cannot fault them for using mineral at the current price point.
Warhammer: SOLAR AUXILIA LEMAN RUSS ASSAULT TANK

Better then the Astra Militarium Russ in almost every way.
Significantly nicer than the old Leman Russ, both in how the model looks and ease of assembly. When put up against one of the old Astra Militarum Russes, no one individual thing is that different; however, each dimension is tweaked just a little, which results in the whole of the model being leaps and bounds better than the old one. It threads the needle of weird 40k imperial tech and something that could potentially work in real life. The old model was more weird-dumb in design. The model build is also very well done. The tracks in particular go together better than any other 40k vehicle that I have built (and I have been playing since 2nd edition). sections that need to be glued to each other are large enough that model cement has enough surface area to adhere and are defined enough that they go together intuitively. The only problem with this model is the lack of any sponsons, which limits its use for some in 40k armies. The next edition of 40k might not have sponsons "free" (which effectively means that you pay for them in points whether you use them or not), which would make the problem moot. Or you can do what I did and kit-bash some weapon pintle mounts to mount on the turret. I dislike the look of sponson weapons on guard tanks already, so this was not a problem for me.
