    Great looking Athearn F7B unit. It is a "dummy" which means it is unpowdered and I won't have to put a decoder in it. This finishes out my Santa Fe freight consist which is a F7 ABBA set. The unit was packaged very well and arrived in excellent condition. It is an older unit but looks great! Shipping was fast and comms were also. Thanks! Definite asset to eBay!     Ordered 20 Aug, messaged seller 30 Aug. No reply as of today. It does NOT run well as described. Absolutely nothing happened on 3 attempts with my Tech 7 power unit on my layout. No headlight, no hum, no nothing in forward or reverse. The single best factor it had going for it was that it supposedly ran well, next that it was an Atlas, and next the price. Lesson learned. I have a paperweight. Seller offers no refunds. Buyer beware of best offer deals. I will not buy from this seller again.

Tyco Operating Hopper
These are probably the best cars Tyco made. They work great with the actuator track. They dump well as long as the coal or sand is fine enough. The cars are well built. Body mounting Kadee couplers improves the tracking of the cars, but requires drilling and tapping the metal under frame. I've got over 100 of these cars and still buying more.

Nice Engine
Athearn makes some great engines. I have several PA's & PB's and all of them run and pull great. I've got several that I've repainted into CNJ and DCC'd them. I keep hearing that these engines will not run on 18" radius curves. That's wrong. They will run on 18" radius curves with no problem. If you have one that doesnt, then something is binding and needs to be fixed. Overall I like these engines and recommend them to anyone that is looking for a sleek and fine running engine.

Good couplers
This is my first experience with the #118 shelf coupler. I'm trying them out on a pair of tank cars that I had Kadee #5s on. The mount the same as the 5 except these are whisker couplers. They couple well with the standard head couplers as well as the scale couplers. Uncoupling by hand is a little difficult due to the shelf lip on the coupler. They work just great with the uncoupling magnets. Love them, I want to equip all my tank cars with them.
