Silent Hill 3
3 spoopy.
and i don't just mean for collectors of the series...
try to get the one with the soundtrack included, absolutely terrifying
really pushed my perspective on what videogames could be as teen.

Pokemon Yellow:

reworked sprites, a following pikachu on the overworld map,
and now in full color! I couldn't believe it as a kid... IN COLOR.
{the things we take for granted lol}
many hours i sunk into this game;
late nights with a small flashlight under the blankets, the cartridge
smashed around in my backpack to battle or trade with friends after school.
.battles, consisted of simplistic rock-paper-scissors type mechanics,
(a bit of luck and a gimmick wish for victory lol) [teams of 6 vs 6, one on one]
..with trades, pokemon meant more than digipets,
each monster representative of hours spent hunting in the game +rare encounter rates...
also worth noting, the game is compatible with pokemon stadium (nintendo 64),
super game boy (super nintendo), & the gameboy player (gamecube).
we would battle our monsters on the big screen crt television we had...
one of the best RPGs of all time,
definitely in the top 10. period.
to argue otherwise would be a fools errand,
a simple series that spawned a global phenomenon
with millions of sales that continue on to this day.
if you somehow have never played any of the original gameboy games,
I highly recommend that you take a play through kanto,
and see for yourself why the series became so insanely famous.
if you've already played the games & you're looking to relive a childhood memory,
the music alone is worth the price of admission.
