My experience with the Esbit Coffee Maker

The Esbit coffee maker is well made and brews a great cup of joe. The only reason that I didn't award five stars is because the pot doesn't seat well in its stand at ambient temperatures. I've been in touch with Esbit about it, and they even sent a replacement "prior-generation" stand, but the pot still didn't seat well in it, either. When the stand and pot are heated up while brewing, everything nests perfectly. It's a small nit, yes, but if the pot nested in the stand properly at ambient temperatures, it would have received five stars.

Best Around-the-Home Pocket Saw

I own several Silky saws, including the Ultra Accell 240, and I recommend all of them highly. Around the house, though, the PocketBoy 130 is my go-to for cutting down volunteer trees and branches from the larger trees. The toothing of the saw blade is very aggressive and efficient, so the cutting is fast. Bear in mind that this saw is designed as a "pull-cut" saw, but it beats every other saw that I've used with the same length. This little folding saw is surprising. Get one.

Best Camping / Survival Saw I've Owned

This is certainly the best folding camping / survival saw that I've owned. It is very efficient, and it folds into a reasonably compact package. It's a well-designed and high-quality product. It cuts thru branches and logs swiftly and efficiently. It's the fastest saw that I have in my "Go" kit. I highly recommend the Silky Ultra Accel folding saw. If you get one, you'll understand why it's a superior folding saw.
