Vintage Original 1959 1960 GM Car Interior Rear View Mirror CHEVY BUICK PONTIAC

Good buy

This was a good buy for me! As I already had a decent mirror for my 1960 LeSabre, I only need the connecting rod that mounts the mirror to the windshield frame. I intended to have the "new" rod re-chromed. However, when I used steel wool on the rod to prepare it for re-chroming, a perfect chrome finish appeared from underneath a layer of paint. Why anyone would paint chrome is a mystery, but it will save me time and money!

Useless

Tried to use this stripping to trim up the interior of my vintage show car. After pulling off the red backing, it would not adhere to any surface - metal, plastic, smooth or textured. Will throw it away.
