Solid, fast, light, cost-effective competition marker.
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased the Invert Mini to get back into paintball after several years without playing and was pleasantly surprised by the built quality compared to markers I use to run with.
The Invert Mini is probably one of the most cost-effective markers out there for those just starting out in competitive paintball and can even throw down with markers 2-3x the price. It has great features, a fair amount of customization available, and is surprisingly rugged. The internal construction is fairly simple and easy to maintain, the barrel is "Cocker" threaded for just about any aftermarket barrel kit, and the feedneck will keep any loader secure come hell or high water.
The Mini's bigger brother, the Axe, is a little bigger and has one or two nicer features (eg On/Off ASA), but the price difference is staggering. The newer Mini GS has some nicer features as well (eg one-piece trigger frame & foregrip), but again, the price jump might not be worth it. The Mini, Axe and Mini GS use the same exact board (Shockwave 1.1) and most parts on an Axe are straight from the Mini itself or will fit the Mini easily.
On the other end of the spectrum, there's still the Smart Parts Ion, which can fire at similar rates and is much cheaper, but maintenance on an Ion is literal insanity. Build Quality on an Ion isn't much better; plastic parts will break, wiring will go bad, and the Ion already needs aftermarket features out of the box. The Mini blows it out of the water.
All in all, the Invert Mini is a great marker if you're starting to get competitive or if you're looking for a small, lightweight, fast marker to keep up with the big boys.
A+, 10/10, will dive into snake with a Mini any time.
