EXCELLENT READING!
I initially bought this book as a University of Phoenix requirement for a mythology class. However, after reading and discussing its various points, this book opened my eyes to how many cultures rely on mythology to provide a historical and religious foundation. The flood myths piqued my interest as the gods from all the cultures were displeased with the behavior of man and sought to cleanse the earth via flood waters for the purpose of starting over. The section on heroes was also interesting as I could tie the various journeys of these heroes to modern day characters found in Star Wars and in the Harry Potter series. Excellent reading!Highly recommended!
