Dialogic D160SC-8LS all ports tested (D160SC8LS) - ACE Systems
    Jul 31, 2019
    I recommend Ace Systems.
Highly recommend Ace Systems. These old boards are hard to find, and when we get them from Ace Systems, they always work as represented. I needed this card to replace a failed 8x4 card in my Televantage system. This 16x8 card worked as a replacement with no problems.
Audix D6 Cardioid Dynamic Microphone MC-5789

    Good Base Drum Mic
The Audix D6 is a durable base drum mic for Pro live performance or studio. Im currently using for home studio. I prefer the AKG D112 MkII , when I want to pick up a more complete full deep sound. But the Audix is more than sufficiant for any task. It has plenty of dynamic range to handle aggressive foot work, and easier to mount or extend inside the base drum. The Audix was more affordably obtainable in multi-mic Kits. Because I use double base, and the kits only contain one D6, I bought this second one.
Astro Pneumatic 78197 Goliath Ball Joint Service Tool and Master Adapter Set

Tough Solid tool, didn't do what I need
The good: This tool is Super solid, tough, and durable. Its larger size gives more depth and width. I dont see it ever bending. Its the nicest C-clamp Ive ever seen. It will be a great kit for the right application. For example it has components for DANA axles, and it can handle bigger trucks as well. Its got a comprehensive complete reference chart saying which parts to use with which truck type and years. Great value at $180. The Bad: Most of the tube fitting sizes are labeled in metric. Only three are labeled in standard. Because its a near complete set, its a huge heavy case. However, I have a Dodge 2003 RAM 2500 4x4, which uses the AAM 9.25 front axle. This kit doesn't have the correct size tubes for AAM. It also only has a 10" drive screw. It would have been highly useful to also have a 6" drive screw for the lower ball joint. The reason is when truck jacked up as high as I can with 24" jack, the screw head cant face to the ground, because its to long and hits the ground. So it has to be placed opposite way with head facing upward. The Drive screw will then hit the upper ball area, unless pull it out at an angle, so you have the drive the lower ball out at an angle, which puts abnormal stress on one side of the lower ball hole, risking ovaling the hole. I ended up buying a Powerbuilt kit for $210 more, to see if that would work better, and it had the same problem, that it didnt have AAM sizes or shorter drive screw. Bet the powerbuilt had a C-clamp that was an inch or so shorter, which worked better in one of the processes. In the end, between the combination of the two kits, I got the job done. However, I'll need to buy another $100 kit just to get a 6" 1-1/8" drive screw, for next time. In the end, buying the three kits cost me $500, and a lot of storage space. For my 2003 Dodge 4x4, I would have been better off served just buying the $600 ball press kit made specifically for AAM balls, and sold by specialty 4x4 stores. I had bought the 78197 kit with the idea that it would be a heavy duty and good compromise of sizes, to be a one kit fits all. I've learned there is no such thing yet. Each size clamp and screw has its application, and benefit. I wish Astro would have included a second 6" drive with this kit. If I did it over, I would have just bought the taller Astro 78100 that has both size drive screws included, and the Powerbuilt kit. Reason, less weight to carry, and tubes listed in standard sizes. The reason I hadnt done that to begin with is that the 78100 doesnt come with a case, and didnt want grease threads exposed to the dirt and grime during storage.
