Classic Character-based Western
1 of 1 found this helpful Each of the twenty episodes in the Dakotas tv series could stand on its own as a character-driven study with moral conflict, ambiguity, mistaken intents, false accusations and the demand of the law. One of the best episodes is called "A Man Called Ragan" which gives the background for each of the four main roles. Jack Elam's role was one of his favorite. Bottomline: Nice DVD packaging and good storytelling.
