A nice, comprehensive collection of works from different eras!
A cracking 10cd box set including a great selection of tracks from different eras. I was pleased to find Black and Tan Fantasy etc included. His sound is very easy on the ear and although a little charmingly old fashioned, the discs contain many original pieces which were later used by other great musicians. Each cd is themed and contains around 20 tracks, giving over 200 tracks in total for the set.
If you want a solid set of his works you couldn't do much better with a single purchase. The cds are remastered at a high audiophile quality also. I recommend them!

One of the best 2" eyepieces around!
One of the best 2" eyepieces around. The effect is completely different from using an 82 degree 1.25" eyepiece (which are good in another way) - the view with this is huge and expansive as well as being sharp across the field. It is heavy, so not the best eyepiece to travel with, but fantastic for home or observatory use.

For all Jazz and Mingus fans
I didn't know what to expect from this book but being a huge Mingus fan I wanted to read it. The book is a brilliant collection of around 55 of his songs interspersed with quotes, pictures and commentary. It's a great way to own a collection of his music scores and also to gain insights into his world. It's around A4 in size and in addition to being a great music book - to use with piano and other instruments - it also doubles up as an interesting coffee table book. Mingus is an eminent figure in the history of Jazz so I recommend this to anyone with an interest in the subject.
