Works like the original
The ink cartridge was in good condition and printed without any trouble. I was previously using some old stock cartridges which were troublesome. It's difficult to find these cartridges and using refurbished is now the best option. Some small issue with leakage on this one, but does not appear to affect the printing. Now the old Deskjet 500 has another year of life.

Blower moter resister replacement on 1998 Chevy Prizm
The part was a slightly different design from the original part it replaced. But it installed easily and works as it should. I now have the four blower speeds all working again. Did not have to remove any panels or the glove box to install, but you do need to work in a tight space under the passenger dash board.
The odd sized bolts (2) that hold the resister required 1/4 turns using an adjustable crescent wrench to remove and install. I did not have the correct sized socket available. This made the installation a bit more tedious, but it worked out okay. Less than 30 minutes to complete the job. Figured I saved $200 doing it myself. Worth it.

Honeywell Fan Control/Limit Switch
1 of 1 found this helpful Control works great! Install was fairly straightforward and the fit was good.
I did need to remove the spade lugs from the original wires and tin the stranded copper wires in order to use the push in terminals of the new controller. Also needed to pull the wires further into the box since the connection points are bit further inside the box. I was able to keep the original wiring without splices.
The old control was malfunctioning and causing short cycling of the furnace and excessive temperatures in the plenum. The new control fixes this and should extend the life of the furnace as well as saving some money in heating costs.
Well worth the work involved, but be sure to get it right as it can create a safety issue if done incorrectly.
