Value play that pays off
This is all about value. The definition of value is functionality divided by price and by that definition the Baofeng UV-5R V2+ is a winner and a 5 star product. It does a good job at a very low price. The programming side of the equation is a bit iffy as the instructions are better left in the box and a quick trip to you-tube substituted for that. Once programmed though it does what you want in a low dollar communications unit or as a scanner for sporting events like auto racing where the bands line up. The charger is good and the availability of spare parts like antennae and batteries makes this a good investment even for the long term.

Works for me
These are genuine Honda mats for a lot less than premium brands that include features I don't need. They are heavy enough and I don't need them to have a one or two inch lip.

Lots of power at a value price.
These batteries seem to take a greater charge than the standard Canon variety and the price is very low in terms of dollars per amp-hour. Trustworthy factory packaging and a good brand. Can't comment on durability yet as I only charge them when I am on vacation and shoot hundreds of pictures a day.
