Time saver
This thing hollows out wood like nothing I have ever used. The only thing is that it can make a mess so relegate your use of it to the outdoors. You will be up to your ankles in wood flour sooner than you think.

Cordless all the way!!!
This router is wonderful and the newest edition to my family of makita cordless tools. Just not having to deal with a cord and the ability to take it anywhere outdoors and work is a plus. Comes in handy for me rounding over drawer box edges. It’s a messy job and the fact that I can just go outside without dealing with a cord and the indoor cleanup makes it more of a pleasure than a chore these days. Great product, now I await the arrival of the plunge base for it......
