Better With Metal
No plastic parts that are doomed to fail, not one. A solid, bright red, simple to use, reliable gasoline can.

Vacationworthy!
This rack did the job! To the beach and back with our old Thule carrier, our other car in the caravan reported that the carrier was rock solid the entire trip! We had three sets of clubs and four chairs and two umbrellas and a bunch of little stuff up there, 13 hours drive each way, so we tested the 150 pound weight limit for sure. Installation instructions and product markings could have been a bit clearer to get the rack onto the Jeep, but the results are hard to argue with! Next time I will consider installing the carrier more toward the front of the Jeep (adjusting the carrier to roof rack mounting hardware into different holes in the carrier) to make the opening of the Jeep's tailgate less restricted with our long carrier, which was used previously on our 2000 Durango and a 2004 Rainier, longer vehicles, without tailgate opening interference.
