Rachio 3 work great as long as you get an AC power brick with it.

This Rachio 3 smart sprinkler system works very well and has many more features then my previous system that stopped working because the company went out of business. I bought it as an Open Box Unused system, deeply discounted. The price was very good, but the power supply in the box was not the correct one. It was a 24 volt DC power brick. Most watering systems, including this Rachio 3, require a 24 volt AC power brick. When I tried to use the CD power supply the water would not turn off. Finally, after reading the online specs for the Rochio 3, I realized the problem. Fortunately, the power brick from my old defunct controller worked with the Rochio 3, so I was able to work with it. I don't know how the brick got switched and I did not contact the seller, because i bought it several months ago and was not able to install it until June. THat's why I gave it a 4 instead of 5 star rating.
