Works like a charm
The battery works just as well as the Nikon OEM battery if not better and the magic fiber cloth was a nice icing on the cake. I religiously clean my lens, lcd and phone so I can never have too many microfiber cleaning cloth.

The ultimate intersection of quality and value lens
21 of 21 found this helpful This lens will give you the finest quality at the best value and especially so if you're using it on a full frame camera. In terms of quality it tops other lens that cost thousands of dollars and it is so lightweight that it is my standard lens for serious hiking and backpacking.
The focus is lightning quick and quiet and I love the signature cool Nikon styling. The photo is sharp, high contrast and rich in color just the way I like it. The only improvement that I could ask for is if it can be stopped down further than f/16. I carry a tripod with me and for picturesque mountainscape and scenic scenery, it will be nice if I can shoot at f/20 or higher and since I am using a tripod I can shoot at very low shutter speed to compensate. Being able to shoot at smaller aperture than f/20 is also good for long exposure photography as well. Other than this wish list, this lens is as good as it gets for a price that is simply unbeatable.

Poorly lit screen and heavy
The biggest issue is the screen brightness. It is so dim that the built-in display is almost useless. If you connect it to an external monitor then it is useful and that is how I have to use it but it really limits its usefulness. It is also very heavy weighing over 8 pounds with the power adapter but that doesn't bother me too much but I think that is a big issue for most people.
