store notes - spring weather has come a little early and buds are starting to move, so I'm shutting down till the next dormant season. at the end of 2025 i should have some nice kotohime maple starters, my native red maple cuttings, a few sweetgum cuttings, some very vigorous highbush blueberry cuttings, and jbp seedling cuttings of course. see ya'll when it gets cold again 🖖🥶

bonsai jack has the best bonsai soil
i love this shohin inorganic mix. it drains amazing well and holds moisture perfectly. i was impressed with the 1/4" soil aggregrate i had bought last year, but im blown away by this 1/8". im using it for a few pine cuttings im trying to root right now. it packs well enough to hold the small cuttings and still drains super quick. ive had good success using inorganic soil/chemical fertiliser/aggressive watering for my bonsai.

good size for cuttings
nice size plastic pot for starting cuttings. i wish the plastic was just a tad thicker. it would be a good idea to get a nursery pot flat/tray when youre potting up. i have some pine cuttings im trying to root now. im definitely using these for my pine seedling cuttings in late spring along with some shimpaku cuttings.

works good
im using this to charge my samsung tab s 8.4". ive gone from 4% to 100% and still had plenty of power left.
