Definitely an improvement over the beat up factory case
Swapped the board from the factory remote to this shell, it fit fine. The tactility of the new shell buttons is different than the factory one, I didn't try swapping the rubber keypads, that might make a difference in how the buttons feel. It functions fine as it should, and I've gotten used to the difference in feel so will probably leave as is. The cut valet key from my factory remote fit OK, however I swapped the factory spring/catch assembly into this case as it just makes the valet key feel more secure clicking it in. I do hang other things off a ring attached to the valet key so for me it needs to be reliable. My factory remote is the comfort access style, so it did require cutting the case open along the seam, they do not pry apart like the non-comfort access fobs. Good deal IMO.

So far so good...
I haven't installed it in my bilge yet, but did run pump in a basin of water. It emptied the basin quicker than I could fill it with a garden hose wide open. My only complaint is it will not auto-on until there's 2", which it will pump down to 1" then shut off until it's at 2". That said, this is exactly what the description said so no surprises. I didn't try it in manual mode, but I assume will pump until it sucks air. Very compact unit, runs pretty quiet.
