A well-rounded and useful collection
Herbert's English poems are here academically outfitted with everything they need to be communicative to a demanding reader. The lines are numbered and printed in an easily read type size & face. The poems are well-spaced and well-served by copious notes glossing & augmenting them. The inclusion of Isaac Walton's valuable biography of this severely under-recognized poet enhances the value of this edition. The only negative comment I can come up with is that the pages are of poor quality. The paper is aging badly, yellowing, and on its way to desiccating like a pulp tabloid. But until they do, this handy little volume holds many treasures. Long live poetry!
