Bad reed switch
When first installed, system ready light stayed on when motor was in stowed position.And, my remote couldn't find the motor. To trouble shoot, I connected my foot control ( which I never use.) and everything worked as it should. I then removed the reed switch from the old control module to find out how it worked. Found it closed the circuit when activated by a magnet. So I bared the wires on the new module and connected them together and the system ready light went out.This indicated the reed switch its self was bad. So I cut off the reed switch on the new control module and wired in the old reed switch. Now the system ready light goes out when activated by a magnet. And to sweeten the pot, my remote connected within seconds. Back on the water......yay!!!
