Low cost budget fix that works !
I needed something to replace the old school wrap bridge on my Epiphone SL. As stock , the guitar was nearly impossible to play in tune. The super cheap tuners did not help either so I replaced them right away with a set of PING tuners I had laying around.
This bridge features fully adjustable saddles so I suspected that it would solve the intonation problem right away. The price was much better than the exact units sold in the USA at around $12-$15 ,so I rolled the dice & placed an order for two units. After about 12 days my order arrived and I installed one on my guitar.
The fit and finish was better than I expected for the price paid. The chrome finish was smooth,even and well applied. The saddles and adjusting screws moved freely . The bridge fit perfectly on my guitar so I had no need of the included studs and inserts. Once installed I noticed that the saddles were a bit higher than the stock unit so I turned the studs in until flush with the inserts .This bridge is a clone of the Leo Quan :BADASS". FWIW when the bridge is fully lowered into the body , it will rest a bit on the lower edge of the pickguard of an Epi SL . On my guitar it wasn't an issue as the flanges of inserts were exactly the same height as the pickguard . I restrung my guitar and adjusted the truss rod to my preference to compensate for the height difference of the new bridge.
Since this bridge has individually adjustable saddles and set screws the adjust length of the bridge to the studs , it
provides plenty of adjustment to get you intonation set up. After about 10mns I had my guitar intonated and playing great. I was able to set my guitar up with a nice easy fretting low buzz-free action.
Maybe I got lucky with the particular guitar I received to start with, but this bridge really worked for me.
Note : some complain that they are not able to use this unit out of the box and get good intonation. This unit cannot compensate for the improper location of the stock bridge by the guitar manufacturer. Most budget guitars have tons of issues out the box and slapping a more expensive GOTOH, Schaller,Schroeder or Wilkinson part won't fix it either ! Even vintage Gibson LP JRs had wrap around bridges located and installed properly ! Hit up youtube for instructionals on how to check if your particular bridge was installed correctly.
YMMV but with this bridge my guitar now has a nice action, frets smoothly ,plays in tune all up and down the neck with zero intonation issues. Your personal taste aside, if you know really what you are doing and not just "cork sniffing" and touting your vast credentials as a "luthier" as an excuse ,you should be able to get this unit to work on your budget guitar. I plan to dial this in a bit further by installing my DIY version of StewMacs bolt neck guitar maple neck shims and grinding down the bottom of the bridge a wee bit . Great custom headstock decals
This is the second set of these decals that I have bought, and as always , I am quite pleased with the end results !
The decals are very easy to apply but do require the novice to have patience and the ability to follow directions to achieve the best results.
The decal image is crisp and clear. The material is very thin which is great as the edges of the decal will disappear under a few recommended clear coats giving a clean and pro look.
They are super easy to apply and look great on the proper head stock ( water slide for light colored head stocks and vinyl for dark colored head stocks).
I highly recommend these decals in both water slide and vinyl material.

3L x 3R for (3 on each side ) GIBSON headstock and NOT 6R ( 6 inline on one side) FENDER headstocks !
If you are looking for replacements for a FENDER electric all tuners on the bass side --PASS , these will not work !
The bulk of the listings for these ( and there are DOZENS !) often mix nomenclature between 3Lx3R headstocks and 6R inline , as if they are interchangeable. To add to the confusion, the pics often show 6R inline units and 3Lx3R all in the same listing . Basically it's a coin toss when you order from these listings no matter how careful you read the listing description or ask the particular vendor for details( they often do not know anything about the product and will refer you back to read the confusing description)
Fortunately there are some vendors of these units that have realized the error and have clearly marked the pics and description " 3L x3R".
Unfortunately ,I rolled the dice with an ambiguous description in the listing, hoping to end up 6R inline units, and lost. I hope my review helps you avoid this.
That aside, these units are solid ,decent replacements for the low budget square thin metal covered cheapies found on budget acoustics and electrics.
Despite the pic showing "bean" type tuner buttons, the units I received were the larger rounded rectangle with squared ends. A minor issue if you don't notice or even care.
FWIW , altho I really wanted the round "bean"buttons , and expected these to actually be "6R" , I do think that these are sturdy,reliable , solid replacements to have on hand. These tuners hold tuning very well & I have never had a problem with slipping or snagging--they turn smoothly and accurately .
Bottom line is these are good quality tuners that will get the job done!
