Simple and effective bolt on replacement.
This replacement part fits exactly as it should, operates as the original, and seems to be of similar or slightly higher quality.

Canon makes great cameras.
3 of 4 found this helpful As far as fully automatic point and shoot cameras go, you simply cannot beat canon. This camera uses the new Digic 4 image processor, which is a feature I was curious about. I was familiar with the previous system, and the new one works at least as well. It is very easy to capture very good images with this camera.
Fast auto-focusing, excellent automatic setting choices. If you plan to use the automatic mode all the time, you would have a difficult time finding a better camera with these features in this price range. Highly recommended for anyone that wants an easy to use camera that gives great results.
If you want to use the manual settings frequently, this is probably not the camera for you. It has all of the manual functions you would expect to find, but navigation through the menus is cumbersome. Allows for up to a 15 second shutter, big advantage over my last digital. Adjustable flash power output is very useful, helping to reduce glare from reflective objects. Zoom range is excellent, and at 12.1 megapixels, I might even consider using the digital zoom.
Video far exceeds any digital camera I have ever used. However this still does not compare to a true video camera, as some reviews I have read would lead you to believe. It does an excellent job, and the sound quality is decent. There is no input for an external microphone, and the zoom function cannot be used while recording. The zoom will remain set wherever it was when the recording is started. Aside from fast paced action and low light situations, this should provide all of the video capabilities you need.
Overall a very good camera, excellent all around camera for beginners. Simple to use, anyone can take beautiful pictures with this camera. A true point and shoot. Simply turn the camera on, then point and shoot. If you do nothing else you will great results, as easy as a disposable. Small enough to fit in a shirt pocket, and packed with features. I have never seen a camera this small with such amazing zoom range, just incredible.

Works as it should, no issues.
I used this to repair a GE motor control board on a furnace blower fan. Old part was burned so badly it split in 2. Replaced this and one other component that was heat damaged. Fan has operating without issue for about a month now.
