Quality 2,000 Watt Amp NOT 4kw at 1 ohm but it Will Run at 1/2 ohm at 3,400 watts but they are not strappable
It's a very nice budget gem for less than $200 new and less than $150 if you can find a refurb. This amp does around 1900 watts at 1 ohm, 2600 watts at .8 ohms, and 3400 watts at .5 ohms. Even though they do not recommend going lower than 1 ohm, if you have the proper electrical this amp will run at .5 all day. I bought two of them, running both at .5 ohms, each amp to a pair of dual 2 ohm subs, when each pair is wired parallel, the amps are seeing .5 ohms before impedance rise. However, instead of pulling 270 amps of current per amp at 1 ohm, they require 380 amps of current per amp. So where you can normally run a 2kw amp on stock electrical with 1-2 100ah AGM batteries, or a high output alternator, if you wire this amp to .5 ohms you will need both a high output alternator 240 amps or greater, and at least one good true 100ah AGM battery. That's why people blow these amps. They don't have enough electrical to support the current these amps demand. It is amazingly clean, and never heats up. The fan does a great job.
