My guess is that you're on the fence about buying a $200 fan. I've got to say, if you have the means, go for it. It works great!

Semi-Pro Standard
This mic is an affordable alternative to the MKH 416, it records very high quality audio. My only complaint is that it runs through batteries like tic tacs, although the phantom feature on some cameras would solve that problem. It's a good semi-pro mic, I definitely recommend it.
