Buy a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, used; Added features of CE and disadvantages make it a better choice.
6 of 9 found this helpful I own four TI Graphing Calculators. (Two TI-83 Plus, a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, and this CE)
Speed? I'm sure when I start writing my own BASIC programs, I'll appreciate the CE extra program space and speed. Thus, if you already own a TI Graphing Calculator and you've found that it is slow, or that it has too little memory to do what you want it to then buy the CE. Otherwise, stick with a TI-84 Silver Edition.
The CE can't connect to the old keyboard (which I have); which is a real limit when typing programs. It's really annoying to have to enter letters with the hunt-and-peck method even when Alpha Lock is turned-on.
I can't run programs on the CE that were created for the TI-84 Plus.
I can't communicate with either the two TI-83 Plus or the TI-84 Plus with a cable, either.
So, all the advantages of a CE are eliminated by the disadvantages. The size? That's crap. The difference is size or weight is not discernible. I'm was not at all impressed by any difference in size.
So, if you like to impress other people, then get a CE. In reality? Do you really need color? Do you really need the extra-big screen? and it takes quite a while to charge the CE. Since batteries have always lasted a long time with all TI calculators, swapping-out alkaline batteries is MUCH quicker to do.
So, my recommendation... but a used 'like-new' or 'acceptable' condition Silver Edition for $55.

This capo tends to be a bit short on a Classical Guitar fret board. I used a Dremel tool to better match the inside curvature of this capo.
On a 6-string classical guitar, this capo is a bit too short, particularly when you start moving towards the guitar's hole.
What I did is, I took a Dremel tool and a metal rotating spiral cutting head to better contour the inside edge of this capo to exactly match the side curvature of the guitar's contour. This allows the capo to move further over when you clamp it on and makes for that last string to be pressed down tightly.
Then, after I have properly rounded the curve to best match, I used a small file to file the upper-inside corner to a perfect 90 degree angle again.
Realize that you, probably, will only be able to use this capo on the top five frets, possibly four depending on how wide your fret board is.

Absolutely love the display
I have been using a .91" OLED (SPI version) with an Arduino BASIC library. Once you switch to this display, it's really amazing the difference. You can actually SEE it.
