as good a beginner's guitar as i could hope for :)
let's see... within a week or so it started staying in tune, after constant retuning for that period. the tone quality of this instrument and the tone quality of a more expensive cedar-topped classical guitar [a Dean Espana] are close enough for me to not care [the Dean was a teeny bit brighter and louder/ringier, but it cost $250]. the higher strings are plenty loud and ring for a good amount of time. the action [height of the strings over the fretboard] is well-set, high enough to prevent most buzzing yet low enough to where [in combination with relatively low string tension and soft strings] that a beginner's tender fingers are mercifully spared the worst of the usual torture while learning how to form the chords. the neck is wide enough for my non-svelte fingers to finger the chords without much string muting. it does have a beautiful tone, mellow and with weight and just enough brightness for definition's sake. the quality control is decent, only one minor trim flaw I could find [a little "bleb" about 1/16th" high x 1/8th" long above the third fret below the low E string], and the frets could have used some sanding-down on the edges, but it is not glaring. I am just a beginner so I am still learning. the only other thing I could have wanted with this guitar, is a decent case. all in all, armed with the knowledge that many guitar teachers seem to like this guitar for their beginning students, highly recommended. :)

contains a stereo rarity
it is the ONLY CD release of the stereophonic master recording of "a lincoln portrait" narrated by carl sandburg. this is why i bought it.

white wires blend well with white wallpaper
I wanted more color at night in my little place, and these white multi-colored LED xmas lights filled the bill splendidly! they run cool and draw a pittance [4 watts per link] from the wall socket. i linked several of them successfully. they generate a nice soft light that is strong enough to light the room.
