Viewtiful Joe (Sony PlayStation 2, 2004) TESTED & COMPLETE

A beautiful relic of the not so distant past.

Anyone who remembers the "Capcom 5" is likely very familiar with this game, and for good reason. The first footage was incredibly captivating. I was salivating the first time I saw this, Killer 7, and the others. Not all of those 5 lived up to the hype, or even saw the light of day, but I'm happy to say Viewtiful Joe sure did. With that said modern gamers may find the game frustrating. Some aspects of the game don't have the potential fully realized, and some parts may feel a bit dated, but it is absolutely worth a playthrough at least once just to experience the magic of it all.

A great entry for fans of proper Contra.

Classic Contra fans likely already know and love this game, but if not then Isure strongly encourage you to play it. It is without question the best (only good, really) console Contra since Hard Corps and Contra 3 several generations before it. Neo Contra is a direct sequel, so if you are a fan of the lore like myself you may want to consider that afterwards despite its game play being... let's say less than stellar.

Monster Hoontin' heaven

There is nothing bad to be said about this game. It is a melting pot of the previous games with plenty of new stuff as well which leads it to be the longest, most content packed entry in the series. This is a must have for any fan of pre-World MH, including fans like myself that had the base version on 3ds before, and I would encourage newer fans eager to dip their toes into the older games to start here. This is everything you need.
