Buy for the feel and durability!
I'm not a drummer, the light-up feature of these is entirely a gimmick I DON'T care about, but others do like; these operate fine for some limited period of time before they fly apart in use unless you tape the ends a lot or use the grips over them, which makes them very fat, and frequently check them(even though there's a little screw that it is supposed to retain the cap).
That being said as a caveat, I have several drumming friends who like or love them- and my friend Stix swears they're the best-feeling sticks he's ever handled, and CERTAINLY rugged compared to any hardwood.

A good pedal with enough controls
While hard-core programming the Spyders is far better accomplished with a computer (smartphone, at least), this pedal is EXCELLENT for performance with just enough switches to make it instantly useful, and the expression pedal covers 2/3 of what you'd look for in a pedal once configured properly. The list price is excessive, but heavily discounted, the price is well worth it.

Decent (not great, but decen)t for the price.
Not very durable buiold quality, but well worth the low price- power cable is not easy to insert, plastic case feels on the light side nd the cable is stiff, but I'm perfectly happy with it for the low price this company offers.
