6 of 6 found this helpful I almost never write reviews, but just HAVE to tell you how amazing this machine is! I work nights, only to come home to an autistic boy who is very sweet, but he is extremely loud due to his nature. Couple that with a two year old that constantly throws high pitched tantrums, and some folks above me that stomp around like wild elephants whilst yelling and fighting all the time. Next are the people next to me that stay up all night playing super loud music and singing to some rock band game, and drinking to the point of eveyone thinking that they need to yell over one another. I was not able to get any sleep. Have tried fans, headphones, earplugs, burrying my head under pillow WITH ear plugs in, listening to music,"calming waves" sleep machines....etc.
So, with many thoughts that I would end up a lunatic from lack of sleep, I decided to try this machine out. Let me tell you, the moment that I turned it on I thought, "This thing is loud; how am I going to get used to it?" Well, that is the entire point. I allowed myself to get comfy. Suddenly, I was thinking that all of the noisy folks had gone somewhere so I relaxed and went to sleep only to wake 8 hours later with no interruptions! I turned the machine off; lo and behold, those folks WERE still upstairs - screaming adults, stomping elephants, high pitched baby and all! The white noise of this thing is very comforting now. Turning it off is the stressful part ;)
My sister has since bought one of these for her baby. It has worked wonders!
This machine does exactly as advertised! I was able to adjust the "fan/white noise" levels to cover every single sound. You can set it to last for 60 minutes, or you can let it run all day or night. I keep it on constantly. This thing is a life saver!!! You will not be sorry - and will find sanity again. I am just thrilled!
Pros: Everything listed above. Also comes with a usb which you can plug in to a computer, or an adapter for the outlet. Keep from going to the mental hospital. No more stress!
