Solid construction but woefully inaccurate
1 of 1 found this helpful Granted there isn't a lot of precision possible with this design, but I do expect a thermometer to at least be within 100 degrees of the actual temperature. The good news is that you can force/bend the needle to the correct temperature and it will continue to read approximately correctly after that.

Dead-on repeatability
I can't be 100% sure of accuracy, but this scale seems to be very reliable and repeatable in its measurements. It is fast, easy to read and beautiful. I love it.

Not really usable after assembly.
1 of 1 found this helpful This was the first time I received one of these no-shipping-charge-from-china type things where I didn't immediately think, "how can they do it?" On the positive side, this reel is *small* and lightweight. The plastic castings are of poor quality, but they did fit together properly.
Note that this reel does not come with a hose to connect to your water supply. And it is not possible to reel or unreel the hose while it is connected to the water supply. If you want to cut your own hose into two pieces you can use the provided fittings to cobble together a supply hose, but you will need to provide your own hose clamp.
So.. within these limitations, it appears to be usable. I have my doubts about the durability of the handle/crank, so who knows. For the price, it seems like an awful lot of compromises have to be made, so I wouldn't recommend it to you.
